This year marks the last year of our current term. In accordance with California state law, the Arts District BID is currently set to expire on December 31, 2023. If we are to continue to deter crime and maintain the public areas of the Arts District, we need your help today to renew the BID.
Over this past year, the current Board of Directors have studied renewing the Arts District BID. After a year of careful consideration, the Board is recommending renewal for an additional seven years. The reasons for the Board’s recommendation to renew the BID are explained in greater detail in the Management Plan. This includes the rationale for the BID, the district boundaries, the operating budget, assessment methodology, governance, and other important information. Also included is information regarding what specific property owner’s assessment would be under the proposed renewal. The below material will permit you to review the BID’s past work as well as the proposed renewal.
